It isn't quite a length of pipe that you could get down your nearest metal stockist. It's really lightweight for starters, and it thickens out just a smidgeon in the middle to 25.4mm. That's suitable for track stems - if you've using a standard road stem, just grab a shim (see the handlebars page).
