These Goldtec Track hubs have the enviable reputation of being virtually indestructible.
A double-fixed rear hub originally designed for use on the track but now used by the majority of couriers in London because of their durability. The Goldtec has the enviable reputation of being virtually bombproof.
The sprocket is secured by the use of a standard Shimano-thread lock ring. It isn't supplied - but the Andel lockring we sell is compatible with this thread, and is what we recommend for use with these hubs. The normal chainline is approx 42.5mm from the centre of the hub.
The axle is 14mm down to 12mm on the ends. 10mm Flats are machined where the axle fits into the dropouts for secure location. The flats also stop the axle from spinning when the bolts are tightened/removed. The Goldtec is also available singly, either rear or front. Rear hub is available in a variety of spacings; the front hub is a standard 100mm axle length. We normally keep the 120mm rear hub in stock - but other spacings we can usually order in within a few days from the manufacturers, so lead time shouldn't be too long.
