General Manager, Mark Searle, in Outspoken Cycles' shop

Bike Maintenance Manager

We are excited to be recruiting for a new role of Bike Maintenance Manager to join our team as we take on a number of new projects in the coming months.

Working in a varied environment, the postholder will manage a team of mechanics, coordinating the day-to-day operations across our Bike Maintenance Services, from off-site fleet maintenance through to our Bike Maintenance Courses.

We are a small dynamic team, and we encourage ideas and strategic input from all members. The job is an opportunity to help shape our direction and success, and help in our vision to “create communities that are fitter and healthier, by using cycles to build a better environment for people to live and work.”

Located in the Bike Depot in north Cambridge, we share our offices with sister companies Outspoken Training and Zedify. With an environment geared around cycling, we are a tight-knit community built around shared aims to promote cycling both in Cambridge and beyond.

Please see the job application pack for full details and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or would like an informal talk about the role. Please contact Mark Searle on 01223 789606 or at jobs@outspokencycles.co.uk.

Bike Mechanics

Lead Mechanic

We’re recruiting! We’re looking for a talented and experienced Lead Mechanic to run our busy workshop and be our go-to technical expert in our team of mechanics. The job requires a candidate with buckets of enthusiasm for the latest tech and passing on their knowledge to those around them – both other mechanics and via our maintenance courses.

The post holder will mainly work in the workshop on site, but will also do some maintenance teaching and travel off site for some Dr Bikes and fleet servicing. The post holder will be supported by a team of mechanics and will have an annual training budget to ensure they can continually develop their skills.
