General Manager, Mark Searle, in Outspoken Cycles' shop

Services Manager

We’re excited to be looking for a committed and highly organised person with excellent coordination and line management skills to manage and develop our range of maintenance services, from off-site fleet servicing through to Bike Maintenance Courses.
The post holder will be office-based (including some optional working from home) and needs no experience of cycle maintenance but they should have prior experience coordinating or managing teams, and will bring a positive, can-do attitude to manage and motivate a dedicated crew of mechanics in a nurtured environment. We are also open to flexible working.
We are a small dynamic team, and we encourage ideas and strategic input from all members. The role is an opportunity to work with the General Manager to shape a key area of the business as we look to grow over the coming years, and will suit someone that enjoys both having an input and developing those around them.

Please see the job application pack for full details and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or would like an informal talk about the role. Please contact Mark Searle on 01223 789606 or at jobs@outspokencycles.co.uk.
Deadline 5pm 4 June 2021

Freelance Events Staff 2021

We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic people with lots of energy to join our Events team, helping to encourage more cycling.

We deliver a range of cycle-themed activities including Smoothie Bikes, Pedal Powered Scalextrics, Try Out Shows, Pedal Powered Cinemas and more…

We usually take these on the road to events such as festivals, team building days, community events, trade fairs, exhibitions and local authority events.

The Covid-19 pandemic has put large events on hold, however we are seeing small scale bookings come in for Summer 2021, and are hoping for larger scale events to return as restrictions begin to ease.

Safety is our main priority, so all events will be thoroughly risk assessed from a social distancing perspective.

If you have any questions or want to talk to to someone about the role do get in touch.

Freelance Bike Mechanics

We are always on the look out for Freelance Bike Mechanics to help us deliver our growing range of bike maintenance services. As a freelancer you will enjoy the flexibility of being able to choose from a variety of work at a time that suits you. Freelancers can be involved in anything from Dr Bike sessions, on-site workshop repairs, delivering bike maintenance training, and even work at big events! You will work closely with the rest of our team across our busy programme at our offices in Cambridge and have opportunities to get involved in other areas of what we do.

If you’re an experienced bike mechanic and a good communicator looking for additional adhoc work, then we’d love to hear from you. For more information or to ask any questions, please get in touch.
