Rob H steers Outspoken Cycles and ensures the smooth running of the various services and development of new projects. Rob was our workshop manager before stepping up. Having worked in shops across the UK there is little about bikes he doesn’t know. As a former racer and current exercise fanatic, you can often see him on his track bike or on the River Cam

Rob came to Outspoken in 2018 from a long career running Ben Haywards cycles. His warm welcome greets all who visit the shop and his knowledge of cargo bikes are second to none. While he might not admit it, he’s also a talented mechanic! His favourite bike is his ‘bouncy’ Moulton for its ‘immaculate conception’ – his own words!

David heads up our workshop and brings his years of experience in the bike industry to the team. He has a Swiss army knife of skills and is able to solve the trickiest mechanical problems. Having worked on robotics to small bespoke bikes his industry knowledge has helped out many people 

Elly joined the Outspoken Cycles team in March 2023, having spent seven years working as events manager at a science park in South Cambridge. It was through this role that Elly became familiar with Outspoken, booking us for Dr Bike sessions and training courses. Having worked with Outspoken as a client for a number of years, she realised that she loved our company vision and values and decided to take a side-step and join us. Outside of work Elly enjoys embroidery, spending time with her family and walks with her golden retriever.

Harris joined the Outspoken Cycles events team. Having done a sustanablity masters he is extited to be involved in a company with this at its heart. Having developed his own music events he has been key to develop the kit outspoken use and driving this forward.

Richard is one of our fabulous Senior Mechanics and has years of experience in bike maintenance, both with Outspoken and through his own business. With a background in coaching road and track cycling, Richard is filled with extensive knowledge on all things bike which he shares when teaching the courses offered at Outspoken Cycles. Of the 22(!) bikes in his possession, Richard prefers his Planet X road bike which he built himself. An avid cyclist, Richard is most fond of his six-day cycling trip to Edinburgh accompanied by his eldest son.

Chad is our other senior mechanic and teaching expert. Having worked all over the globe teaching and fixing things, he has a vast range of stories plus experiences he is keen to pass on. He enjoys a clean workshop
